Todaywere beginning this sexperiment, seven days of sex. How to move fromwhining about the economy to whoopee! theNew YorkTimes quoted him assaying.
A week after the SexChallenge Youngs 20,000 parishioners at the Grapevine branch watched aprerecorded sermon from Mr. Young and his wife, Lisa, on jumbo screens over acandlelit stage. In the video Youngs wife was seen wearing knee-highblack boots and jeans and said that after a week of having sex every day, orclose to it, some of us aresmiling.
For others theweeklong sex dose helped in tackling with infidelities, addictions topornography or other bitter hurts. Theres been some pain;hopefully theres been some forgiveness, too, shesaid.
In fact, for Young a weekof romping in bed wasnt enough, he advised the couples to keep ondoing what youve been doing this week. We should try to double up theamount of intimacy we have in marriage. And when I say intimacy, I dontmean holding hands in the park or a back rub.
He claimed there are manybarriers to an intimate sex life in marriage, including careers, exhaustion, outside commitments and kids. But, he claimed that following asex routine would bring you closer to your spouse and to God. It will also helpyou perform better at work, leave a loving legacy for your children to followand may even prevent an extramaritalaffair.
If youvesaid, I do, do it, he said. As for single people, Idont know, try eating chocolate cake, he said. For some reason the church has not talked about it, but we need to, he said, speaking by telephone on his way to South Africa for a mission trip.
He added that theres noshame in marital sex, saying, God thought it up, it was his idea. He recalled that the sex challenge proved to be a little too much for some ofhis church members, who sat with arms crossed in uncomfortable silence. On theother hand, many in the audience gave him an enthusiasticapplause.
